Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor critical software deployments during weekend maintenance windows.
- Triage and resolve high-priority production incidents and bugs that arise outside of standard business hours.
- Perform system health checks and database backups to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Collaborate with the on-call engineering team via Slack/Teams to escalate issues immediately.
- Document technical changes and incident reports for the QA and DevOps teams to review on Monday.
- Conduct performance tuning and security patches on legacy systems.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience (JavaScript, Python, or Go preferred).
- Strong familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues under pressure.
- Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday (rotational shifts) on a contract basis.
- Excellent communication skills to provide clear status updates during emergencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
