Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 technical support and troubleshooting for critical network systems during weekend shifts.
- Monitor network health, performance, and availability using advanced monitoring tools like SolarWinds or Nagios.
- Implement and maintain secure VPN configurations and firewall rules to ensure data integrity.
- Execute routine patch management and security updates to mitigate vulnerabilities during low-traffic windows.
- Collaborate with the NOC team to resolve incidents and restore services with minimal downtime.
- Document all network changes, configurations, and incident reports in compliance with ITIL standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in network engineering and support.
- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent industry certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
- Experience with network security, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a recurring basis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain or hold a Secret clearance (Preferred).
