Apex Digital Systems is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our elite contract team in San Jose, CA. As a key member of our contract workforce, you will ensure the integrity of our production releases without the Monday-Friday commute. This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
- Perform comprehensive regression testing on weekends to validate new feature releases and hotfixes.
- Analyze defect reports and collaborate with development teams to ensure root cause analysis and timely resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab) to support continuous delivery.
- Maintain and improve the existing test framework to ensure high coverage and reliability.
- Document test cases, results, and metrics for management reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cypress.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during the Weekend Shift (Saturday/Sunday).
- Familiarity with SQL and API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
