Responsibilities
- Perform critical server maintenance, patching, and updates for Windows and Linux environments during the weekend shift.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Manage and secure VPN access for remote employees and contractors.
- Conduct routine backups and disaster recovery verification procedures.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to resolve escalations and technical incidents.
- Deploy software updates and patches in a controlled, non-disruptive manner.
- Document all system changes and maintain detailed technical logs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat/CentOS).
- Expert knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Experience with network infrastructure, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during the weekend shift.
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or higher certification is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
