Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, patching, and updates for servers and databases to ensure system integrity.
- Monitoring & Support: Monitor system performance metrics and respond to alerts during the weekend shift.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues and hardware failures efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the on-call team and stakeholders regarding system status and critical alerts.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to security protocols and conduct security audits during off-hours.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering, network administration, or IT support.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux, Windows Server, and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to document issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems under pressure.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
