Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend microservices running on a 24/7 infrastructure.
- Monitor system health and proactively troubleshoot critical issues during the night shift.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database queries and API performance.
- Implement security best practices and conduct code reviews to ensure high code quality.
- Automate deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines to reduce downtime.
- Document technical specifications and operational procedures for the on-call team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Java with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Experience working in night shift environments or rotating schedules is required.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
