Responsibilities
- Monitor Infrastructure: Perform 24/7 monitoring of server racks, power distribution units (PDUs), and cooling systems to ensure optimal environmental conditions.
- Routine Maintenance: Execute preventative maintenance schedules, including cleaning, cable management, and firmware updates during off-peak hours.
- Emergency Response: Respond immediately to alert notifications regarding equipment failures, cooling anomalies, or power outages.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate logs of hardware assets, spare parts, and consumables using the CMDB.
- Access Control: Manage badge access and security protocols for weekend entry and exit.
- Documentation: Complete detailed work orders and shift logs documenting all activities performed during the weekend shift.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Center Operations, IT Support, or Facilities Management.
- Schedule: Must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday (Weekend Shift required).
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is preferred.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is highly desirable for DC-based roles.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces (raised floors, server rooms).
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of UPS systems, chillers, and network infrastructure is required.
