Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on engineer who can bridge the gap between complex system architecture and practical implementation. You will work directly with stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions that meet strict security and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex system architectures for cloud-based and on-premise environments.
- Perform system administration tasks including server provisioning, configuration management, and security hardening.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical infrastructure issues and ensure 99.9% uptime for key systems.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with federal and industry security standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Document technical processes, configurations, and architecture diagrams for future reference.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or a related technical field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master’s preferred).
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or the willingness to obtain one) is highly preferred.
