Our client is a leading technology firm requiring a dedicated security expert to monitor their network infrastructure during off-hours. You will be the first line of defense against cyber threats, ensuring business continuity and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic, firewalls, and security appliances in real-time to detect and respond to intrusions and anomalies.
- Perform 24/7 security operations and incident response for critical systems.
- Configure and manage enterprise firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing during scheduled maintenance windows.
- Generate and analyze security reports to provide insights into system health and threat landscape.
- Collaborate with the day-shift engineering team to resolve escalated incidents and implement patches.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Network Security Engineering.
- Valid Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and security concepts.
- Experience with major firewall vendors (Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA).
- Proven experience working in a Night Shift environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
