Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York, NY. This is a contract position with a focus on night shift operations to ensure our critical infrastructure remains robust and secure while the rest of the world sleeps.

Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Monitoring: Oversee the health and performance of our on-premise and cloud-based systems during night shifts to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Automated Deployment: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI to streamline software release processes.
- Cloud Management: Manage and optimize resources on AWS or Azure, including VPC configuration, IAM policies, and cost analysis.
- Incident Response: Diagnose and resolve critical system outages, providing detailed post-mortem analysis and documentation.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop Bash and Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security best practices and compliance standards (SOC2, HIPAA) within the infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Systems Administration.
- Shift Requirement: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM EST).
- Technologies: Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
- OS Knowledge: Strong command of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to cross-functional teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
