As a Contract Engineer, you will be embedded with a top-tier financial services client, driving innovation and delivering high-impact software solutions. This is a 6-month rolling contract with the potential for extensions and competitive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Designers, and QA Engineers to define feature requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to software architecture and coding standards.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Debug complex technical issues and implement robust solutions to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance within the team.
- Ensure application security and data integrity across all platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack technologies.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid contract setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
