Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum error correction protocols
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $1M+ in external research grants from NSF/DARPA
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity frameworks for 2026 adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems
- Security clearance eligibility (preferred)
