Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with engineers to develop error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research grants and patents for quantum innovations
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional team collaboration
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Proven ability to secure research funding through grants and industry partnerships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
