Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and simulation
- Design error-corrected quantum architectures targeting 1000+ qubit systems
- Lead research in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish 3+ high-impact papers annually
- Develop quantum software frameworks for commercial and academic applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and error correction methodologies
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and control electronics
- Track record of securing government research grants
