Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information science or high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and probability theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
