Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computation
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Drive quantum security solutions for post-quantum cryptography standards
- Publish research in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum technology policy frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ systems)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with quantum machine learning frameworks
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
- Active Q clearance or ability to obtain government clearance
