Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance, alerts, and logs 24/7 to ensure seamless network operations.
- Execute routine maintenance, patch management, and security configurations during off-peak hours.
- Diagnose and resolve network incidents, collaborating with the Day Shift engineering team for escalations.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures in the central ticketing system.
- Proactively identify vulnerabilities and suggest improvements to our night shift workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all internal IT security and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a NOC, Network Operations, or Tier 2/3 Support role.
- Proven track record of successfully working rotating night shift schedules.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and switching.
- Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for shift handovers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent military technical experience.
