Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, during off-peak hours.
- Execute routine network maintenance tasks, patch management, and configuration changes with minimal disruption.
- Respond to and resolve critical network incidents and tickets reported during the night shift.
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting for connectivity issues, latency problems, and security anomalies.
- Document all network configurations, changes, and incident resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with Day Shift teams to hand off ongoing issues and ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs) and hardware.
- Experience with enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco) and VPNs.
- Familiarity with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
- Ability to work independently with high accuracy during night shifts.
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification preferred.
