We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Weekend IT Support Specialist to join our elite team at NexGen Systems. Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues for internal employees and clients.
- System Monitoring: Monitor server health, network performance, and security alerts to ensure 99.9% uptime during weekend operations.
- Incident Management: Log, track, and resolve IT tickets in our helpdesk system with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Network Security: Enforce security protocols and conduct basic vulnerability assessments during the shift.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the on-site Monday-Friday team to ensure continuity and knowledge transfer.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, backups, and updates on critical systems.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional IT support experience, specifically in a Help Desk or System Administration role.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays on a recurring basis.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Strong proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues related to Windows, macOS, Active Directory, and VPNs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; CompTIA A+ or Security+ certification is a plus.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively during the shift.
