Responsibilities
- Monitor Network Infrastructure: Continuously oversee network traffic, performance, and security across all systems to ensure optimal uptime.
- Execute Critical Maintenance: Perform scheduled patching, firmware updates, and system upgrades during off-peak hours to minimize business impact.
- Incident Response: Receive, triage, and resolve overnight alerts and tickets related to connectivity, routing, and security breaches.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose and rectify network anomalies to maintain 99.9% availability and data integrity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes made during the night shift, and incident reports.
- Collaboration: Liaise with day-shift teams to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and continuity of operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in network engineering or system administration.
- Certification: Valid Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), switching, and VLAN configuration.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting status updates.
