Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk/Splunk Enterprise Security).
- Perform forensic analysis and incident response during the critical night shift hours.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and patch management to secure enterprise endpoints.
- Collaborate with the SOC team to triage and remediate high-priority security threats.
- Generate and analyze reports on security posture and incident trends.
- Enforce security policies and conduct regular compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and Windows/Linux environments.
- Experience with threat hunting and malware analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Cuckoo).
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
