Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain server health, network performance, and database integrity across the enterprise environment during weekend shifts.
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, including patch management, security updates, and software upgrades without disrupting business operations.
- Respond to and resolve Tier 2/3 technical incidents escalated from the NOC, ensuring rapid mitigation and documentation.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot production issues and optimize system scalability.
- Document all technical procedures, incident reports, and change logs in the CMDB.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Administration, or Network Engineering.
- Strong proficiency with Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid Security+ or CISSP certification is a plus.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on-site in San Jose, CA.
