Responsibilities
- Monitor Infrastructure: Continuously monitor network performance, server health, and system alerts using Splunk, SolarWinds, or similar tools.
- Incident Management: Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve network outages and critical incidents during the overnight shift.
- Alert Prioritization: Analyze system logs to differentiate between false positives and critical threats requiring immediate escalation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and network configurations in our ticketing system (ServiceNow).
- Performance Tuning: Identify trends and anomalies in network traffic to proactively optimize performance.
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with third-party vendors or on-call engineers during handover periods.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or Network Engineering role.
- Shift Requirement: Must be available to work a dedicated Night Shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent technical certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing (BGP/OSPF), switching, and VPN technologies.
- Tools: Proficiency in monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Datadog.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and handovers.
