Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and place qualified technical candidates across software development, data engineering, and UX/UI roles
- Build and maintain robust candidate pipelines through strategic sourcing, networking, and market research
- Conduct technical interviews and skills assessments to validate candidate capabilities
- Collaborate with clients to define hiring requirements and develop tailored recruitment strategies
- Manage full-cycle recruitment processes while ensuring exceptional candidate experiences
- Leverage applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment analytics to optimize hiring outcomes
- Stay current with Portland's tech market trends and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 3+ years technical recruiting experience with focus on software development roles
- Proven track record of placing candidates at Portland tech companies (startups to enterprises)
- Strong technical aptitude to evaluate engineering talent across languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks
- Expertise in sourcing strategies including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and GitHub talent discovery
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment and applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Workday)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently in remote settings
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related technical field preferred
