Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications using Qiskit and Cirq
- Publish research in Nature Quantum Information and top-tier conferences
- Secure $2M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using real quantum hardware
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum supremacy
- Expertise in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM, Amazon Braket)
- Proven ability to secure competitive research funding
- Track record of mentoring junior researchers
