Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, synthetic biology, and advanced AI systems
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with $1B+ market potential
- Develop patent strategies for breakthrough innovations in climate tech and human augmentation
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and venture partners
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Mentor next-generation technologists through our Future Leaders program
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Bioengineering, or Physics with 8+ years applied research
- Published work in Nature/Science on emerging technologies with commercial applications
- Track record of scaling tech ventures from lab to market ($50M+ ARR)
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum computing, AGI, or synthetic biology
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants ($5M+ portfolio)
- Fluency in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Portfolio of 3+ technologies commercialized or in late-stage development
