Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and speak at global tech conferences
- Establish industry partnerships for quantum computing commercialization
- Mentor PhD researchers and build quantum computing curriculum frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Demonstrated success securing government research grants
- Experience leading R&D teams of 10+ scientists
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and qubit stability challenges
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum data analysis
