As a contract IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our internal employees, ensuring smooth daily operations and technical efficiency. You will work closely with senior engineers to diagnose issues, resolve tickets, and implement solutions that drive productivity.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of workstations, laptops, and mobile devices for new employees.
- Maintain and update inventory records for all IT assets and peripherals.
- Collaborate with the IT team to deploy software patches and security updates across the network.
- Monitor system performance and report technical anomalies to senior management.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to company IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and obtain industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
