Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic innovation roadmaps by analyzing converging technologies (quantum computing, neurotech, AGI)
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists in prototyping breakthrough solutions
- Anticipate societal and market disruptions through trend forecasting and scenario modeling
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present futuristic vision to C-suite and board members using immersive VR presentations
- Drive patent development for proprietary technologies targeting 2026 market readiness
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies and innovation frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in strategic innovation or technology foresight at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of launching products/services based on emerging tech trends
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, nanotech, space tech)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in innovation or futurism (whitepapers, journals, TED talks)
- Proficiency in innovation tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis, Futures Wheel)
