Responsibilities
- Analyze global technology trends, market disruptions, and scientific breakthroughs to inform 2026+ innovation strategy
- Develop and implement strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional workshops to ideate and prioritize breakthrough initiatives aligned with organizational vision
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and industry think tanks to scout emerging talent
- Translate complex future scenarios into actionable product roadmaps and investment opportunities
- Present strategic insights to executive leadership and board members with compelling data-driven narratives
- Drive adoption of innovation methodologies across the organization through training and mentorship
- Monitor geopolitical shifts and regulatory changes impacting technological adoption and innovation landscapes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, Technology Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist roles within tech sector
- Proven track record of developing and executing multi-year innovation roadmaps with measurable ROI
- Expertise in emerging technologies: AI, quantum computing, biotech, AR/VR, and sustainable energy systems
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategic insights
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and futures research techniques
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence C-suite decisions through compelling storytelling
- Portfolio demonstrating successful innovation initiatives or published futurist research
