Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, bio-integrated interfaces, and climate-positive AI systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping next-gen human-machine collaboration frameworks
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with transformative potential
- Translate complex technical concepts into executable business strategies for executive leadership
- Oversee patent portfolios and intellectual property protection for breakthrough innovations
- Drive ethical technology governance frameworks aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, AI, Biotechnology, or related future-tech field
- 10+ years experience in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech ecosystems
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on AI ethics, quantum computing, or neurotech
- Proven track record leading $10M+ R&D initiatives from concept to market
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (blockchain, neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Fluency in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Strong network connections with DARPA, NSF, or EU Horizon Europe program directors
- Experience with carbon-neutral technology lifecycle management
