Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during overnight hours, including vitals assessment and medication administration
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with strict HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and emergency services as needed
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure sterile environments for procedures
- Handle patient inquiries and triage non-emergency situations
- Assist with patient admission/discharge processes during night shift
- Monitor medical equipment functionality and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification or equivalent healthcare credential
- Minimum 1 year experience in clinical or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/Meditech experience a plus)
- Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am)
- Pass background check and drug screening
