Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) systems during night shifts
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all documentation and data handling
- Process patient admissions, discharges, and transfers with precision
- Collaborate with overnight clinical teams to update records in real-time
- Perform quality audits and resolve discrepancies in medical documentation
- Utilize Epic and Cerner EMR systems for data entry and retrieval
- Provide overnight support for record access requests from authorized personnel
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical records experience with EMR systems
- Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or RHIT preferred
- Expertise in HIPAA compliance and healthcare documentation standards
- Proven ability to work independently during night shifts
- Strong attention to detail with error-free documentation skills
- Experience with Epic and Cerner EMR platforms

- Valid Texas Health Information Management certification
