Responsibilities
- Source and engage passive technical candidates across engineering disciplines using advanced Boolean searches and social strategies
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for Bay Area tech clients including screening, technical assessments, and offer negotiation
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineering hiring managers at startups and Fortune 500 companies
- Leverage our proprietary ATS to track metrics, optimize pipelines, and ensure 30-day placement targets
- Conduct market research to identify emerging talent pools and salary benchmarks for specialized technical roles
- Mentor junior recruiters while implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives in all hiring processes
- Represent Oakland Tech Staffing at industry events and build our employer brand within the tech community
Qualifications
- 5+ years technical recruitment experience with proven track record in Bay Area tech placements
- Expertise in sourcing engineering talent (software, DevOps, data science, security) across diverse tech stacks
- Strong technical aptitude to evaluate candidates' skills and communicate effectively with hiring managers
- Advanced proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and modern ATS platforms
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with both candidates and enterprise clients
- Metrics-driven approach with demonstrated success in KPI achievement and pipeline management
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related technical field preferred
- Deep understanding of Oakland's tech ecosystem and local talent market dynamics
