Responsibilities
- Source and engage passive candidates through advanced Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, and niche tech communities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical roles including software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps specialists
- Develop deep client relationships to understand technical requirements and company culture fit
- Design innovative sourcing strategies using ATS platforms, job boards, and referral programs
- Conduct technical screenings and behavioral interviews to assess candidate capabilities
- Collaborate with account managers to align recruitment strategies with business objectives
- Maintain accurate candidate pipelines and market intelligence in our proprietary CRM
- Mentor junior recruiters on industry trends and best practices in technical hiring
Qualifications
- 5+ years technical recruiting experience with proven track record in IT/tech staffing
- Expert knowledge of technical stacks (Java, Python, cloud technologies, DevOps)
- Advanced proficiency in ATS platforms (Greenhouse, Lever) and sourcing tools
- Strong network within Chicago's tech community and startup ecosystem
- Certified Technical Recruiter (CTR) or equivalent certification preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts
- Proven ability to close high-demand candidates in competitive markets
- Experience with contract-to-hire and direct placement models
