We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our elite technical team on a contract basis. This is a premium night shift opportunity (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) located in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and performance metrics to ensure 99.9% uptime during the night shift.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network incidents, including firewall configurations and routing protocols.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks, including patch management and security updates.
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident logs for the day shift transition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network upgrades and optimize latency.
- Respond to critical system alerts and escalations within strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering and IT infrastructure support.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in a night shift environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and advanced troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to bridge the gap between shifts.
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
