Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects for the 2026 Winter Olympics infrastructure, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, vendors, stakeholders) to define project scopes, goals, and deliverables.
- Oversee risk management strategies to mitigate technical and operational risks associated with large-scale international events.
- Ensure compliance with strict security protocols and international standards for data protection and event security.
- Mentor junior project managers and foster a culture of continuous improvement and agile methodologies.
- Coordinate logistics for hardware and software deployments across multiple venues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of project management experience in IT, preferably within large-scale events or government infrastructure projects.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or CAPM certification is required.
- Skills: Proficiency in Jira, MS Project, and agile tools; strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and cybersecurity best practices.
- Language: Excellent command of English (written and verbal); fluency in a second language is a plus.
- Location: Must be based in the United States with the ability to travel to international sites if required.
