Responsibilities
- Develop and implement horizon-scanning methodologies to identify emerging technologies, socioeconomic shifts, and industry disruptors through 2026
- Design scenario-planning frameworks and strategic roadmaps that align organizational capabilities with future market demands
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-focused solutions
- Deliver executive-level strategic briefings and trend impact assessments to C-suite stakeholders
- Establish and maintain global networks of futurists, technologists, and academic researchers
- Translate complex foresight data into actionable business strategies and investment priorities
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies and analytical techniques
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futures research with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing, etc.) and societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to communicate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategic foresight (white papers, journals, books)
- Experience leading global teams across cultural and technological boundaries
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful strategic transformations based on future insights
