Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for machine learning acceleration
- Simulate quantum systems using IBM Qiskit and Rigetti Forest frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Publish research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum Journals
- Lead quantum security audits for federal government partners
- Mentor PhD interns on quantum circuit optimization techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (QASM, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum libraries (Cirq, PyTorch Quantum)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (D-Wave, IonQ)
- Top-secret clearance preferred for government projects
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
