Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum coherence in superconducting qubits
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing curriculum development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit design or quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional R&D environments
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors preferred
