Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry research grants
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Partner with NASA and DARPA on national quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry impact)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published papers at IEEE Quantum Week or equivalent conferences
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence principles
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
