Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms solving complex computational challenges in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for scalable fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype quantum applications with industry partners
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature, Science, and IEEE journals with 2+ annual publications
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Advise C-suite on quantum computing roadmap integration with business strategy
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 3+ years industry R&D experience
- Published peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature/Science)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design using Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation environments
- Track record of translating theoretical quantum algorithms into practical implementations
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation and error correction techniques
- Strong background in machine learning applications for quantum systems
- Experience securing federal research grants ($1M+ preferred)
