Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit coherence times
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum gate architectures
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD interns and lead cross-functional quantum projects
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DARPA research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and high-performance computing
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubit systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
