Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, AI, and materials science
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum systems and error-correction methodologies
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Develop scalable quantum software architectures compatible with emerging hardware platforms
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years post-doctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical ML frameworks
- Track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Strong background in topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant architectures
- Ability to secure DOE/NIST grants for quantum research initiatives
