You'll lead cross-disciplinary teams in developing quantum algorithms, optimize qubit stability, and architect hybrid quantum-classical interfaces. Our state-of-the-art facility offers access to IBM Quantum, Rigetti, and D-Wave systems, alongside 10 petabytes of classical compute resources.
Responsibilities
- Design quantum circuit architectures for 2026-scale computational challenges
- Develop error-correction protocols maintaining qubit coherence at 99.99% fidelity
- Lead implementation of hybrid quantum-classical machine learning pipelines
- Optimize quantum algorithms for pharmaceutical molecule simulations
- Collaborate with security teams to quantum-proof cryptographic systems
- Document quantum system specifications for regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in cutting-edge protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years implementing quantum algorithms on real hardware
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and Q# frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor architectures
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy thresholds
- Security clearance for DoD quantum projects preferred
- Track record of scaling quantum systems beyond 100 qubits
