Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures for industrial-scale applications
- Develop error-correction frameworks to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams integrating quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Research and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Secure patents for quantum computing methodologies and IP protection strategies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and practical implementation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum systems with demonstrated fault-tolerance implementation
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
- Strong background in superconducting qubit or ion-trap technologies
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into engineering specifications
