Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures during overnight shifts
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records
- Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities to on-call physicians
- Coordinate with nursing staff for seamless patient care transitions
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal overnight supervision
- CPR/BLS certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Must be available for rotating night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
