Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy for analysis.
- Reporting & Visualization: Create compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards using Tableau and Excel to communicate key findings to stakeholders.
- SQL Support: Write and optimize basic SQL queries to extract data from databases and assist in database maintenance.
- Market Research: Assist in competitive analysis by tracking market trends and reporting on relevant metrics.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data processes and analytical methodologies.
- Collaboration: Partner with marketing and product teams to define data requirements for new projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (recent graduates welcome).
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Tools: Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex data concepts simply.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for identifying errors in data.
- Availability: Must be available to work on-site in San Jose, CA for the duration of the contract.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and propose solutions based on data trends.
