Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Build responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect front-end interfaces using modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React).
- CMS Management: Expertly manage and update content on client websites using WordPress and Drupal, ensuring content accuracy and SEO best practices.
- Code Optimization: Write clean, efficient, and scalable code; conduct code reviews to ensure quality standards and security protocols are met.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize web performance to ensure fast loading times across all devices and network conditions.
- Cross-Platform Compatibility: Ensure seamless functionality and visual consistency across various browsers and mobile devices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers and backend developers to integrate features and solve complex technical challenges.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional web development experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Design Skills: Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and experience working with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Schedule: Ability to commit to a consistent part-time schedule (20-25 hours per week) and meet project deadlines.
- Location: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and based in or willing to commute to Washington, DC.
