Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 strategic vision roadmap with quantifiable impact milestones
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, biotech convergence)
- Architect innovation frameworks for 3-5 year product/service pipelines
- Partner with R&D to validate futuristic concepts through rapid prototyping
- Present foresight insights to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Build and lead a cross-functional futurist task force
- Author annual 'State of 2026' industry trend reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-focused strategies
- Expertise in exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Exceptional data storytelling and scenario planning capabilities
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFSD) preferred
- Published thought leadership in future-tech domains
- Experience scaling innovation in Fortune 500 environments
